Stephen Anthony Graham ’66

Stephen Anthony Graham passed away on February 7, 2018. He was born on August 28, 1944, and was the son of the late Dr. Thomas and Vera Koerper Graham of Florence, SC.

He was a 1966 graduate of Davidson College, and he received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Duke University in 1971 after having completed his dissertation year abroad in Berlin.

He taught briefly at N.C. State, Cal-State, San Bernardino and Voorhees College in Denmark, SC. In 1992 he was named “Teacher of the Year” at the University of Indianapolis where he taught for 25 years.

While at the university he authored several books on the world-famous 20th century missionary-evangelist Dr. E. Stanley Jones. Since retirement in 2012, he was a faithful member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs, SC.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia White Graham and a sister: Penny Graham Reed of Murfreesboro, TN.A Memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
