Graveside Services for Mr. William L. Thomas, 78, who entered into rest August 21, 2015, will be conducted Monday at 12 noon in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brant Kennedy officiating.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, a former resident of North Augusta for 40 years, having made Davisboro, Georgia, his recent home.
He was a graduate of Davidson College, the Union Theological Seminary and the University of North Carolina with a Masters in Counseling. Mr. Thomas was a US Army Veteran, an ordained Presbyterian Minister, a former US Army Chaplain and a retired Mental Health Counselor with the State of South Carolina. He was an avid Genealogist and loved dancing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, A. Meriwether Thomas, his son, William David Thomas and his sister, Ida Sue Green.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Mike Sims, Davisboro; two grandchildren, Thomas Michael Sims and Margaret Lynn Sims; a sister, Margaret Ann Zeugner, Somerville, New Jersey.
