Hama T. Gheesling, Jr. 83, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born July 30, 1934, in Charlotte to the late Hama T. Gheesling and Mary Genevieve Horne Gheesling.
Mr. Gheesling was a member of Myers Park Baptist Church. He was a 1952 graduate of Central High School and Davidson College, class of 1955, and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Mr. Gheesling was associated with Douglas Aircraft and retired from Carolina Foods after 21 years of service.
He is survived by a brother, William Carl Gheesling; nephew, Carl Gheesling (Laura); great-niece and nephew, Isabella and Carlton; niece, Kappy Lapides (William); and great-nephew, Bennett Lapides.
Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park were private for the family.
