Francis "Frank" M. Perrin '50Francis “Frank” M. Perrin, 86, returned to his Heavenly Father on December 23, 2014 from his home in Louisville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Marjorie Perrin and by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Perrin of Union, SC, his brother, Spencer Jr., and his sister, Elizabeth Hester. He is survived by two sons, John of Nashville, TN, and Thomas of Louisville.

Frank graduated from Davidson College and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA. He served churches in Virginia, St. Louis, MO, Mississippi, and nineteen years as pastor in Huntsville, AL. Frank had a Group and Family Counseling Ministry for nine years. After serving as Interim Executive Presbyter of North Alabama Presbytery, he joined the General Assembly Staff in Louisville in 1988, where he was a veteran of many governing body staff positions.

He retired in 1992 and served as Interim Pastor in seven Presbyterian churches over the next ten years. He also served a term in 1999 as the Interim Associate Presbyter in the former Louisville Presbytery. Frank was a member of the Mid Kentucky Presbytery, Presbyterian (USA), and was a long term member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Louisville. He served as President of the Bellwood Children’s Home for two years. He was also a faithful participant in the life and ministry of the Second Presbyterian Church of Louisville, and served for a time as Interim Business Manager at the Church and provided stability to the position.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church, 3107 Old Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY on January 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
