Rev. Jim Reid has safely and peacefully gone into that great Kingdom beyond our earthly realm and now stands directly at the altar of God in the company of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in Dallas January 16, 1927 and died March 9th, 2012 at Grace Care Center in Cypress Texas. Raised in Tahlequah, OK, his parents were Thompson and Mary Ruth Potter Reid. Surviving are his wife Audry C. Reid, son James T. (Tammy) Reid Jr., and niece Devin (Scott) Lamb. Jim’s creative mind served him well in many endeavors however the Lord called him into His precious service and it was Jim’s true mission and passion for over 35 years. Visitation will be Tuesday at Christ United Church of Cypress, 14207 Telge Rd., Cypress, TX, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM March 13, 2012. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM, March 14th at Christ United Church of Cypress, followed by fellowship and meal after the service. Private burial will be at Houston National Veteran’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be given to Slavic Gospel Association, 6151 Commonwealth Drive, Loves Park, Illinois 61111, or Bibilica, P.O. Box 787, Monument, CO 80132 or a charity of your choice .
