Dr. Eric Reintsema of Nokomis, Florida was born on September 4, 1958 in Port Jefferson, New York and passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 66. He was a Family Practice physician for 34 years in North Port, Florida.
Dr. Reintsema was educated at Albany Academy, Davidson College, Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine and served his residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Reintsema is survived by his wife, Lisa of Nokomis; a son, Zachary Reintsema of Palm Harbor, Florida; his mother, Joris Reintsema and two sisters, Lynn Reintsema and Kristen Reintsema all of Saratoga Springs, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Reintsema.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Christ Venice Church, 1475 Center Road in Venice. Church members, friends, patients and colleagues are welcome to attend.
