Colonel Otto Preston Chaney Jr. was born February 16, 1931 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
He graduated from Davidson College with the Class of ’53.
He was a colonel in the United States Army and Professor of National Security Studies at the U.S. Army War College and was an author.
He died on December 16, 1993 at the age of 62 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
