David Griffiths died suddenly at his retirement home in Davidson, NC, on October, 21, 2020. A 1969 graduate of Ewing High School, Dave lettered in three sports, and was inducted into The Ewing Sports Hall of Fame. After graduating from Davidson College in 1973, he received a MAT graduate degree from Trenton State College in 1974. From 1974-1985 He taught at and was assistant principal at Grey Nun Academy in Yardley, Pa. He returned to teaching at Ewing High School from 1990-2013, and then, back to Davidson, NC for his retirement. While at Davidson, he enjoyed watching Men’s Basketball, as well as most other sports. He traveled constantly, volunteered at the Davidson Gardens, and enjoyed reading and documentaries on TV. Dave impacted many people throughout his life, including family, students, teammates, and friends. He was laid to rest with his parents and grandparents in Dunmore, Pa.
