Mr. William Paul Proctor, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at CMC Mercy Hospital from complications after a fall. Bill played college basketball at Davidson College in the early 1950s.
He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp in Germany during the Korean War. After leaving the service he began a thirty year career with Maryland Casualty Insurance as the Area Manager, obtaining his CPCU designation.
Upon retirement, he was employed by Harris Teeter at the Arboretum location at the time of his passing.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Doris McMillon Proctor; daughters Patti Proctor, Pam (Shawn) Panuline; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte on Saturday, November 11, 2017 beginning at 1:00pm.
