Dan Calvin Hoover, 94, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 24, 2017 with his family by his side.
Dr. Hoover was born May 9, 1922 in Lincolnton, NC, son of the late Heim Hoover and May Shuford Hoover. Dr. Hoover was a longtime dentist in Charlotte. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His life was a shining example of faith and generosity.
A service in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from the graveside at Evergreen Cemetery with The Reverend Beth Brittain officiating. Military honors will follow.
Dr. Hoover is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ann Osborne Hoover and by 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
