A special thank you to family and friends who have already sent condolences, those who freely, lovingly gave of your time and resources. Your love and support have helped ease the pain and been a tremendous source of comfort. Although Edward’s life on this earth was cut short, we have no fear for he surely lives! Eddie was a hometown favorite son in Keyser, WV.

He was handsome, smart, a talented athlete, which earned him double scholarships at Davidson College and offers from other prestigious schools as well. More importantly though, Eddie was a good guy, a loving son, a solid friend.

He did not suffer fools well and would often be found standing up for the underdog, whatever the cost. Ed worked hard, loved deeply and was blessed with a good life. Because of his success, he felt a responsibility to those around him. He was a giver. Edward was my king and I, his queen.

He put God first, thought not of himself, put my and Dallas’ needs and desires before his own, always. He was in steadfast prayer for others and this fallen world. He had a beautiful relationship with our Lord and Savior.

He will continue to be an inspiration of faith, love and hope. Love has a name and His name is Jesus. Edward was filled with the love of Jesus Christ. “A Love that will never end”, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
