Thomas Glenn Fleischer ’75

Thomas Glenn Fleischer ’75, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed away Jan. 11 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. Fleischer was born April 14, 1953, the son of Glenn Vincent and Frances Burns Fleischer. Born in Weymouth, Mass., he grew up in Clearwater, Fla. Fleischer graduated from Davidson, where he played football. He received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and served his orthopaedic residency at the University of Colorado. Fleischer founded Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates, P.A. as a solo practice in 1983. Since that time, the practice has grown to nine board certified orthopaedic surgeons. Fleischer had an infectious smile and unparalleled energy, which he applied to both his professional and personal life. He was an avid golfer. He was a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, Fleischer is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jane Towles Fleischer, 755 Land Fall Dr., Rock Hill, SC 29732; two daughters, Jill Towles Fleischer and Allison Frances Fleischer; his sisters, Susan Bramlette (Robert) and Paula Druse (Michael); seven nieces; and one nephew.
