James Dexter Walcott, Jr. ’84

James Dexter Walcott, Jr. ’84, 48, of Lawrence Township, N.J., passed away suddenly of heart failure Jan. 24. Born in Trenton, N.J., he was an area resident his entire life.

Walcott attended Davidson and graduated from Boston University. Some of his fondest times were spent at Camp Timanous in Raymond, Maine.

Walcott was preceded in death by his father, J. Dexter Walcott, Sr., and was the grandson of the late Elinor S. and E. Stanley Barclay and Zala E. and D. Hailey Walcott.

Surviving are his mother and her companion, Susan Walcott (Rob Van Vranken); one sister, Ann Walcott Douglas ’81 (Keith), 260 Lochan Cv., Alpharetta, GA 30022; two uncles, Edward S. Barclay and William S. Walcott; one aunt, Nancy W. Burdge; and two nieces and one nephew, Hailey, Laura, and John Douglas.
