Mr. Allen Vance Beck, Jr., 62, of 1910 Shirley Drive died suddenly Friday, May 24, 1996, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, Burlington.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Burlington, with Dr. Charles Williams, Pastor and Rev. Phyllis Kort, Associate Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park on Tuesday.
Born in Shelby, he was the son of the late Allen Vance Beck, Sr. and Gwendolyn Dickerson Beck. He was retired Executive Vice President of Belk in the Triad, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington where he was a former Elder of the Church and was a graduate of Burlington High School and Davidson College.
Survivors are wife, Mrs. Jane Wrike Beck of the home; daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Beck Hail of Somerset, Ky.; sons, Curtis Vance Beck of Charlotte, Walter Wrike Beck of Burlington, Allen Dickerson Beck of Elon College; sisters, Mrs. Betty Gwen McPherson of Burlington and Mrs. Marie Beck Ray of High Point.
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7-9 p.m. tonight and other times at the residence.
