David Bryan Sloan III ’84

Dr. David Bryan Sloan III 30, opthalmologist, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Davidson, died May 11, 1993, in Wilmington. Dr. Sloan , a Wilmington native, was a graduate of Hoggard High School and Davidson College. He received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine and served his residency in ophthalmology at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. He was currently serving a fellowship in retina-vitreous surgery at the Retina and Vitreous Associates of Kentucky.

Survivors are his wife, Sarah of Lexington; daughters, Ms. Louisa Sloan , Ms. Emily Sloan , both of Lexington; parents,. Dr. and Mrs. David Sloan Jr. of Wilmington; brothers, John Sloan of Richmond, Michael Sloan of Denver; grandmother, Mrs. David Sloan of Wilmington.
