70, of 2439-A Midland Ave. died Nov. 6, 1992, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at McEwen Funeral Home, Charlotte chapel. Mr. Ervin, a Dallas, N.C., native, retired as owner and operator of Ervin Studios. Survivors are his wife, Rachel; sons, James Ervin of Plano, Tex., Henry Ervin of Great Barrington, Mass.; daughters, Mrs. Brenda Lemmond of Matthews, Mrs. Debbie White of Newell; brothers, Charles Ervin of Vero Beach, Fla., Clifton Ervin, Lamont Ervin; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church building fund, 1915 Oakdale Dr., Charlotte, N.C. 28216. The family will be at 5436 Oak Dr.
